BLEEDING THROUGH will release their crushing new album "Declaration" on September 30, 2008. The new album is a darker, angrier, and heavier album than anything you have heard from this band before. Singer Brandan Schieppati checked in from Europe to say, "We are excited to release Declaration, we all feel it reflects what this band is truly about: making an intense and heavy record. And we are happy to bring this intensity to the kids that will be at the BFMV tour."

Check out a brand new song called "Orange County Blonde And Blue" at the band's Myspace page. Stay tuned for more music, pre-ordering, new merch, and more!

Speaking on the recording process, producer Devin Townsend said, "Working with Bleeding Through was an intense experience... there are very few bands currently operating within their scene that believe in what they do and live it so intently. Absolutely authentic emotion from a group of very talented people who deserve much respect. They were one of the first metalcore acts, and this record I think sets them apart from many of their contemporaries by getting heavier, and not more 'pop-ish'. I really believe that this record will allow a different group of fans to really see that Bleeding Through are a seriously cool act. Conviction and triumph over adversity. Hats off to a killer band."

The tour with Bullet For My Valentine kicks off in the US on July 14 and then hits Europe in November (w/ Lacuna Coil). Get all dates and tickets at KillerTours.com.

MEMPHIS MAY FIRE are in search of a new singer... think you have what it takes? Listen to a new demo on the band's Myspace page and see what you can do with it. Here is a message from the band:

"Due to personal reasons, our vocalist Chase Ryan has decided to leave the band. Chase is about to have a child, and has revaluated his priorities. There are no hard feelings and we wish him the best of luck.

Now, we are in the process of looking for a new singer. We will be holding open auditions through MySpace. We have posted an instrumental version of one of our new songs "Decade". If you think you have what it takes, then go ahead and download the track and lay down some vocals. When you have completed the track, you can send the finals version of the song to memphismayfire@gmail.com. We are excited to hear what you all have to offer.

We have recorded our new record all ready with Casey Bates (Chiodos, Portugal The Man). All we need is to record the vocals and the new record will be ready.

Thanks Everyone, and we can't wait to find our next lead singer!"

IT DIES TODAY have just announced a new tour and a new music video for their upcoming album! The band will kick off a tour in August with labelmates Walls Of Jericho as well as 36 CrazyFists and more. Get all the dates and info here.

Their new album "Lividity" will be out early Fall and they are in the studio now recording. They will be filming the first video off the new album for the song "Thank You For Drinking" next week.

Singer Jason Wood checked in with an update on the video and song: "The song's slogan, like a double-entendre, translates into a so-called friend that through drinking on their own accord shows their true personality. For example, a good friend that ends up being an asshole afte getting drunk at a party or bar."

The video will be shot on location at a bar the band fequents in Sanborn, NY called "The Walmore Inn." The video will feature a friend of the band who's had too much to drink before he even gets to the bar and proceeds to start shit with everyone throughout the song, until the band has had enough and starts a bar fight. The video has drinking, fighting, and some heavy as SHIT music to back it all up! Keep your eyes peeled for the video in July, and some webisodes of the writing and recording process from IDT.

The Buffalo boys of IT DIES TODAY are hard at work on their new album "LIVIDITY" due out this Fall on Trustkill. Armed with new singer/lyricist Jason Wood the band promises a much heavier album than "Sirens", but keeping with that classic IDT sound that we have all come to love. Check back here for studio updates!

Singer Jason Wood checked in from the studio to say...

"We're really pumped about this new record! Lividity is a medical term (as I am a huge fan of CSI) that means when you die all your blood in your body settles, so where you're lying is a bruise covering that part of your body. Metaphorically for example someone who's life is very stagnant or unmotivated. The common theme of the record is going to be character flaws such as the song "Nihility", about nihilism or absolute destructiveness. We've decided to record the album ourselves seeing as we have an amazing engineer (Mike Hatalak) in the band. The plus side to this, is that we have endless time in the studio to perfect the record. Now i'm sure everyone who cares has heard the rumors of a heavy record, well it's true! We're writing a lot more 'Caitiff Choir' like riffs and we're working on a more raw and ballsy atmosphere for this record. Expect sincerity, passion, and FUCKING POWER!"

Winnipeg's SICK CITY will shoot a new music video for the song "City Lights" off their new album "Nightlife". Filming will take place in North Vancouver, British Columbia with Director Colin Minihan (Theory Of A Dead Man, Ten Second Epic). Sick City bassist TJ says "Colin wouldn't tell us much about his concept and stuff, but he insisted in doing a video for it, and we're stoked to see what he has in store for us". Look for the video to launch in August!

After crisscrossing the country for the past 6 months, CITY SLEEPS unleash their new video for "Not An Angel" directed by Darren Doane (Buckcherry, AFI, Atreyu). Check out the exclusive world premiere on AOL starting today, May 2.

"Working with the band was awesome. One of the best artistic experiences of my career. Ely called me and we talked about how much we loved Stanley Kubrick. The goal was to "think" Kubrick. Wide shots, long takes, minimal content. Let it breathe. As well, a little homage here and there. The red stain/bleeding imagery at the end, and snow layered effects was a nod to The Shining. All in all just a great artistic project. The band knew what they wanted and especially what they did not want. The goal was to express the song more than the band. Let people be affected by the music first and then let the band settle in. Not many bands have that kind of confidence. Again a blast over all to work with City Sleeps." – Darren Doane

Look for CITY SLEEPS to announce more tour dates soon.

TOO PURE TO DIE will hit the studio with acclaimed Producer Zeuss, responsible for Trustkill classics like Throwdown's "Vendetta" and Terror's "Always The Hard Way", in addition to Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, and more. The band will be laying down new songs this June, so get yer dancin' shoes on.

Singer Paul Zurlo checked in and said, "We are all very excited to release the new songs we have been working so hard on! The album is a first time contribution for some of us and it has brought on a renewed energy. The guys have been holed up in Iowa, and I in New York for the past few months writing what we all agree is the best material this band has put together to date. It has us going in a new direction but not straying too much from 'Confidence & Consequence'. It offers so much more vocally and musically then C & C did. It's bouncier, heavier, and a bit more mature. We incorporated elements of everything from melody and rock, to metal, and of course, breakdowns. There is a blend of something for everyone on this record! Lyrically it touches on real life situations and struggles that one would face on a day to day basis. I've never been one to write about getting my heart broken or whining about things no one gives a shit about. I've always preferred to "keep it real" and this new record is as real as it gets. We have very high expectations for the new material and feel it returns to where we came from but is also a step toward the future!"

WALLS OF JERICHO release their guilty pleasure and highly anticipated EP 'Redemption' TODAY on Trustkill Records, produced by Corey Taylor (Slipknot and Stone Sour). This EP may shock the bands fans that are used to the brutal metal onslaught that usually comes in a WOJ release. Redemption features melodic vocals and acoustic instruments bringing out a more moody and sultry side of the band. Recorded in two weeks at Taylor’s Iowa home studio this release is a new watermark in creativity and sound in the band’s canon. Taylor, who also lends guest vocals on the EP, sees this as a unique project. "It's one of those albums that comes around every once in awhile that every track is a piece unto itself," Corey adds. "It's not one track leading to the next. It's each track says something and says something differently, but it's done in a way that ties everything together. The end result speaks for itself. It's so beautiful, but it's so dark, you can feel it.

This EP is a project that has been in the back of the band’s mind for several years, and they are excited that is in finally out there. “We have throwing around the idea of doing an acoustic record for years, because I have always been able to sing and it has always been a passion of mine. We did this record as a tribute to my mother who passed two years ago. I wanted to do something beautiful for her” says Candace and on the creative marriage between the band and Corey Taylor, “We all respect him as a musician. He is also a wonderful person that we all enjoy being around and working with. We couldn't of chose anyone more encouraging and driven to help us with this record, he's a great friend who believes in us and the music we put out. It was absolutely amazing working with Corey, I've never had a more pleasant and exciting experience recording a record. He's a nut job and we love him, he fits right in with our family” Candace adds.

The band is also gearing up for this summer’s first Rockstar Mayhem Festival featuring Slipknot, Disturbed, Mastodon, Dragonforce to name a few. The tour is set to kick off July 9 at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle and will hit Live Nation Amphitheaters in 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada between July 9 and August 19, 2008.

In addition to the EP, the band promises a new full-length CD this summer. The band is currently holed up in an abandoned house in middle-of-nowhere Michigan writing for this release. The music will definitely follow the mesh of metallic venom and concrete fury of hardcore/punk that the band is known for. Of the album, Candace says “We’ve been trapped in this house together living and breathing music. We’re literally in the middle of woods between two cornfields. We’re putting all that we have into this new record, and trust me; it will be extremely heavy. Right now we’re calling it a ‘thrash metal delicacy’ ” After they finish writing the band heads into the studio with producer Ben Schiegel (Chimaira/Zao/Ringworm)

MEMPHIS MAY FIRE just entered the studio to record their debut full length for Trustkill. Behind the board is producer Casey Bates, responsible for bringing you excellent records from Chiodos, Pierce The Veil, The # 12 Looks Like You, and more. Get ready for the best debut album of 2008!

Singer Chase Ryan checked in from the studio to say "So far we're having a blast. We're out in the burbs of Seattle hanging out making some sweet ass new songs that we think will kinda catch everyone off guard. They are very reminiscent of the EP but have a new twist that is entirely their own. They are much more complex and interesting songs, but still have that raw, almost southern sound to them; and in a way are more progressive and heavy. Recording with Casey is awesome. He's super chill and above all, wants us to be happy with the record. We are super excited to get these songs out asap, I'm sure you will dig em'!"

Brooklyn's favorite hardcore workhorses MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD will hit The Wild Arctic this Spring to record their 4th full length album. At the helm will be Dean Baltulonis, responsible for the last two MPB albums.

Guitarist Justin Brannan says of the new material, "While all our spineless contemporaries reach for the stars we've returned to our roots. The new songs are short, fast, hard and mean. We wrote an album to remind us of the stuff we grew up on; the music that got us into hardcore when we were teenagers. We harnessed that raw energy and power; the unbridled passion of those days at CBGB's and basements and VFW Halls across the country, sleeping on concrete floors and shoplifting for fun; back when it felt like you were really part of something different. We've checked the rock n' roll ambitions and delusional fantasies at the door and wrote a hardcore record like only we knew how."

For the second year in a row, Bleeding Through's Marta graces the cover of Revolver Magazine's "Hottest Chicks in Metal" issue! This time with world-famous tattoo artist Kat Von D! The magazine hits newsstands on April 22nd.

Meanwhile, Bleeding Through are currently in Vancouver recording their upcoming album "Declaration" with Devin Townsend (Lamb of God, Darkest Hour), which is scheduled for a Summer release through Trustkill. "Declaration" will be heavier than its predecessor”, says Brandan Schieppati (Vocals). "I think it bridges the gap between 'The Truth' and 'This Is Love, This Is Murderous'. The melodies are darker, the riffs are heavier. We just wrote a really aggressive record that encompasses everything we've ever tried to do as a band and then raised the bar a notch or two."

In the meantime, the band has mapped out a June tour of Europe with both festivals and club shows scheduled, before the release of "Declaration". Dates are as follows:

6/15 Donington (UK) @ DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL
    6/17 London (UK) @ ULU (w/ Throwdown & Job For A Cowboy)
6/18 Colchester (UK) @ Arts Center (w/ Throwdown & Job For A Cowboy)

Our friends at The Gauntlet are premiering the first look into WALLS OF JERICHO's new EP "Redemption". Go here to check out clips of all the songs and watch an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of the "Redemption" sessions, due out April 29th.

The "Redemption" EP was produced by Corey Taylor (Slipknot and Stone Sour) and may surprise some fans used to the band’s brutal metal because it features a primarily melodic vocals and acoustic instruments. Redemption, recorded in Taylor’s Iowa home studio is a new watermark in creativity and sound in the band’s canon. The EP is a project that has been in the back of the band’s mind for several years, and they are excited to get it out there, tells vocalist Candace Kucsulain, “We’re really looking forward to fans seeing a different side of us. For seven to eight years we’ve wanted to do it. I sang in the choir when I was young but this band never allowed for that kind of approach especially live” says Kucsulain, whose dark croons and sultry vocals on the EP show that there is much more than what is on the surface. “It’s really different from what we do but at the same time I hear us everywhere in it” adds guitarist Mike Hasty.

In addition to the EP, the band promises a new full-length to follow this summer. The band is currently holed up in an abandoned house in middle-of-nowhere Michigan writing the full-length. Right now we’re calling it a ‘thrash metal delicacy’ ” After they finish writing, WOJ will head to LA to record at the Hobbie Shop with producer Mudrock (Avenged Sevenfold, Throwdown).

The plan is for the full-length to be out for Walls Of Jericho’s appearance on this summer’s first Rockstar Mayhem Festival featuring Slipknot, Disturbed, Mastodon, Dragonforce and more. This is just the latest in a line of powerful touring partners that include Stone Sour, In Flames, Unearth, Sick Of It All, Kittie, Mastodon, Bleeding Through and at Ozzfest and Family Values.
